Alfredton Grove was the developer’s first residential estate in Ballarat, conceived as a high-quality, value-for-money community that would stand apart from surrounding developments. Located within the Ballarat West Growth Zone, the estate combines a semi-rural setting with convenient access to Ballarat’s CBD, creating a lasting legacy of quality and balanced living for residents.

Close collaboration with the developer and consultant team optimised design outcomes, resolved issues early, and supported smooth delivery within agreed timeframes and budgets.

A masterplan image board featuring productive trees inspired the estate name, logo and olive-cultivar street names. The subdivision’s long, park-facing avenues informed Karingga Park’s formal, symmetrical layout, with dense pear and olive groves marking key street termini.

Designed around health and wellbeing, the park provides active and passive recreation, including playground and natural play elements, a half-court, fitness station, kick-about oval and walking paths. Karingga—a local Aboriginal word meaning “to grow”—reflects both the trees and the emerging community.
