Axiom Consulting Engineers Ballarat

In association with Axiom Consulting Engineers, we were engaged by the City of Ballarat to design the Glenelg Highway Bike Path and associated streetscape improvements from the Yarrowee River to the Delacombe Town Centre - a length of approximately 3,200 metres.

The bike path provides a safe, accessible shared corridor for pedestrians and cyclists, including school students, supported by practical amenities along the route.

The design prioritised protection of existing street trees while identifying new planting opportunities to increase shade and amenity. Car parking adjoining the school, nearby homes and businesses was also carefully reconfigured.

Working closely with Axiom Consulting Engineers, the project arborist and Council officers, the team delivered a high-amenity path with minimal impact on the surrounding streetscape. Rest points include seating, bins and bike-service stations, while complementary street-tree and understorey planting strengthens the area’s existing character
