The garden design was required to comply with the Country Fire Authority conditions for a rating of BAL 29.
The garden is constructed on a moderate slope, retaining local views towards the east. The garden requires a certain level of robustness to cope with the free-range kangaroos that happily share the space.
Garden features included:
- a selection of colourful deciduous trees
- sawn stone feature paving
- a water feature within a kitchen garden
- a seating arbour overlooking the kitchen garden and espaliered apple trees
- capped stone retaining walls
- drainage management and stormwater collection for garden use
