Our masterplan for Imagine Estate encompassed more than 30 streetscape stages, public open spaces, drainage reserves, entry treatments, signage and feature fencing. Detailed landscape documentation was prepared for each stage for Council approval, tendering and construction.
Open-space reserves along Emu Creek tributaries incorporate wetlands, water-sensitive urban design, multi-use paths and protected remnant vegetation. The central playground combines constructed and nature-based play, while the estate entry features large-scale emu sculptures by Folko Kooper, reflecting the emu hen and chicks theme.
Indigenous aquatic and riparian planting has restored degraded waterways with minimal irrigation in Bendigo’s low-rainfall climate. The landscape has also encouraged local stewardship, with the local Landcare group planting many indigenous plants along adjoining Emu Creek.
