Nagambie Waters Holiday Park, Kirwans Bridge Road

We were engaged by Tomkinson to prepare a landscape masterplan for the Nagambie Water Holiday Park, which primarily features tent-style cabins. The holiday park is located on the waterfront of the Goulburn River / Lake Nagambie.

Our design scope included a new camp kitchen, playground and kick-about area, landscape treatments to the car park, tent sites, and areas surrounding the existing restaurant, as well as the stormwater sediment pond and associated rain gardens. A vegetation buffer along the northern and eastern boundaries was also proposed to provide visual screening. The design aims to protect and enhance the amenity of the park while reinforcing the site’s attractive natural setting.

A key challenge of the project is that the site is located within a Bushfire Prone Areas. In response, the landscape design and plant selection were carefully considered and restricted to comply with vegetation management requirements for defendable space and bushfire risk mitigation.
