Located in Ballarat’s western growth corridor, the site development required engaging public open space incorporating the Winter Creek reserve, indigenous planting, playgrounds, ovals and wetlands.
We transformed a proposed detention basin into a functional, attractive wetland within the central park. The reserve includes a bespoke playground developed with Adventure+, active and passive recreation areas, walking paths, viewing platforms, picnic facilities and informal kick-about ovals.
Extensive street tree planting and an informal indigenous parkland along Winter Creek strengthen the estate’s landscape character. Surplus civil fill was repurposed to create gentle landforms and visual interest.
