Thomson Hay Landscape Architects were engaged by the clients during the house design stage. We assisted in the siting of dwelling and tendered and administered the bulk earthworks for the preparation of the building pad, new driveway and garden.
The garden design was required to comply with the Country Fire Authority conditions for a rating of BAL 29.
The garden is constructed on a moderate slope, retaining local views towards the east. The garden requires a certain level of robustness to cope with the free-range kangaroos that share the space.

- a water feature within a kitchen garden
- a seating arbour overlooking the kitchen garden and espaliered apple trees
- capped stone retaining walls
- drainage management and stormwater collection for garden use
