During the site analysis phase of this project we reviewed the accumulation of old and new buildings, as well as a broad range of site conditions. Initial design responses considered the site at an overall master planning scale and then focused on more detailed design of specific areas. We developed Detailed Concept Plans and Documentation for the Languages Other Than English (LOTE) area. This included a contemporary Australian pergola with elements inspired by Asian design forms and detailing.
A range of play experiences were included in the design of the Grade 5 & 6 area with quiet and active recreation opportunities. This included fitness and balance equipment, a pillow path of rubber surfacing, a climbing net, boulder seats and a wiggle wall.
Landscape works on site are now completed. The new play areas are well used and the whole site is more green, welcoming and shady.
