Mortlake Power Station
A commission by Origin Energy to liaise with four landowners who directly adjoin the 550MW gas-fired peak supply power station and document vegetative screening options to reduce the visual impact of the power station.
Landscape screening proposals were based on a combination of strategies including:
A waste water irrigated wood lot consisting of selected native species was designed and documented for on-site treatment of filter backwash water produced as part of the power station’s reclaimed water treatment process. The woodlot was designed to meet EPA requirements.

- strategically sited specimen trees within homestead gardens
- direct seeded and tube stock planted farm plantations
- Heritage Victoria approved driveway avenue plantings
